Tree of Life

Bloody wounds, bruised and bleeding head
Word of God nailed to The Tree
The One who blessed us now is cursed
For our sins, Sin You became Judged by God, from His sight was banished
Naked upon the Cross Our nakedness
You covered The Light of Heaven in darkness shrouded
The Lord of Life to Death submitted
The Lord of Creation to completion brought it God's new Manna
You have become The Tree of Life from Eden no longer bared
The River of Life now flows from Your side
This lonely planet in the depths of space
Has now become the Visited Place O we made of mortal dust,
Doomed with that serpent long ago
Feast now on Bread and Wine
And celebrate life eternal
Beneath the shade of Calvary’s tree.
