Every night before I close my eyes
I get down on my knees
Thanking God for all that we have
For all the times just like these
And if one day I should not wake
I hope that you know just how much you mean

I want to thank you for blessing me
Sometimes the miracles you do I can’t believe
When I was down and out all by myself
You were there by my side you never left
When I was blind and I thought that I couldn’t see
You were there as my eyes to guide me
And when my soul got weak just about to fall
You were there, saw me through it all
I’ll never let go of what we have
So many seek only to never find
But each waking moment begins with you
The only thoughts on my mind
I will never fade into the dark shadows
Nor will I get wrapped up in myself
Its not about me, its all about you
You’re the reason behind the things I’ve felt
So I want to thank you for being there when the world seemed so cold
It was you who through me the rope, said hold on don’t let go
Just when I had taken all I thought I could stand
You reach down I the mist of despair to lend a helping hand
Even when I fell in life, no strength to keep trying
You refuse to give up on me, eased the pain enough for me to stop crying
I couldn’t have gone on without you
So the one that was there all along I say Thank You
