Hands

Church Militant, Church Triumphant
In prayer I lay my hands upon you
And Lucy of the Good Pasture
Lays her hands upon me
And upon her are laid the hands
That brought her to Thee
This vision I see of a chain of souls
Hands linked and by lilies bound
This chain back to the Apostles flows
And upon them are laid
The hands with holes.
That the bloody nails have made
The Holes that our hands have made!
