God Mother

Earth Mother, Mother of God
It was you who put flesh upon Him
Mother of sorrows, mother of pain
You bore Him who for us was slain
Though you the Second Adam came
The One who redeemed the ruined fruit
The One who sprang from Jesse's root
You saw the water and blood flow from His side
There to stand while most deserted and denied
And on the cross to a man
He gave you 'Till all your days upon
Earth were fulfilled
Then you entered the Heart of Jesus
And there forever in Heaven was enthroned
To pray for us sinners 'till all be atoned.
