As months turn to just few weeks,
Many of us cry and began to weep,
But you continue to smile upon our face,
With your laughter, all sadness dissipates,
At the end of the journey you leave us here,
But we know you travel to another place,
Where the lord will guide you to the eternal love,
You wait for us in the high clouds above,
Your family and friends pray for you each night,
That the lord will journey with you in these rough times,
You query not his intentions but our questions,
For you are ready to go forth, I can see that in your expressions,
My friend, I have known you for a lifetime indeed,
Why do you leave me, and let my trouble heart bleed?
You shy away for an instance and then look me in the eyes,
Saying that God has told me to tell you not to cry,
My angel of a friend, you were here to take my care,
When others wept, you held a silent stare,
Your courage makes me feel blessed indeed,
To have you at my side, I am ready to proceed.
