Unfinished Pain

My life leaves me to wonder,
When did I stop my dreams?
And let my wishes surrender?

We often ask why life dealt this Hand?
Maybe this is God's plan
In his grand scheme,

Leave me alone to breath on my own,
Don't taunt me with your weird Thoughts,
These nightmares will rape me tonight,

Often the morning does not seem so bright,
You can here a ghetto child,

Cry through all this,

Poverty is what he seems to fight,

I cry often in my dreams at night,
Decide that I am hero by end of tonight,
But the morning rays hit me hard,
Cracking my dreams in a million shard,

At times we feel all alone,
No one to help us,
Sharing our pain in quietness,
Often becoming depressed drones,

So few days I have had perfect,
Life deals me changes,
Without warning and clear sight,
Not taking chances I often regret,

So let us gather here in this instant,
And leave behind assumptions,
Rather fight temptations and despair,
And join the ever-growing resistance.
