The Clown Within

I spot the clowns,
Dismissed-
Within the crowd,
Merrily they laugh,
Choked,
Relying on the mask,
Pleasing the rest,
Logically,
Carrying on this task,
When the day ends,
Sadden-
Heart becomes stiff,
The laugh reverses,
Creasing-
The mask curses…
