Deaf Tones

Deaf tones, I hear them no more,
For my ears have never been used,
The sounds that surround me are gone,
Leaving me in this chain without links,
The bondage to the world seems a little fainter,
As this poet ears imagine sound,
The senses are at loss-
Trying again to fill in this gap,
But no image can dazzle my heart,
For the sounds are deaf,
If they never existed,
Then I would have been better,
Feeling no emptiness-
And yet feeling equal.
