There was a shake,
Not like any other quake,
It shocked all heaven and earth,
But one remained standing abrupt,
No one knew what caused such a commotion,
One who felt it knew how it was summoned,
Are you familiar with the symptoms of an aftershock?
Many have dealt with it,
Some seemed dazed,
And some were mocked,
Scientist could not locate,
At the point where it allocate,
Religion failed to provide hope,
Leaving one confused on how to cope,
The answer seemed all too familiar,
How come I could not keep love nearer?
