Slipperly

The snow, then ice
of just a few weeks ago
has bowed out gracefully.
Gone, left til next frozen
leaving behind beloved waves
with soaring spring birdsong.

Seems, perhaps overnight
greenery has simply, firmly sprung
heavenly days, eternal nights.
Birds singing soft, sweet love songs
the waves gentle, innocent
renewal, beginning, anew, freshly.

She smiles, laughs, nods
walking in the growing heather
twinkle in eye, spring in her steps.
Winter has gone far, far away
banished is the cold, snow and ice
time to make celebration... slipperly.
