Rain Softly Falls

Rain falls softly
Plants eagerly absorb the moisture
Birds safe and protected in their dry nests
Squirrels scurry to their warm dry homes
Blue eyed spiders peek from their patio corner web homes
Frog croaks can be heard from under the side of the house
Wind chimes enjoy a cooling refreshing bath
Plants in the windows lean to the rhythm against the glass
My cockatiel dances in her cage
The furry fuzzy dogs sit at the glass patio door watching the quiet yard
I enjoy my creamy coffee
Rain falls softly
