Crystal rising atop the brim,
Bringing the serenity that was left,
Prometheus rest upon this mountain top,
Leaving all to wonder about his end,
And then-
The quietness that was subdued,
Risen from the hollow earth,
Calmly as the ocean breeze colliding with the waves,
The hollowed tip stems held the aroma
Of once a beautiful flower,
Now turned ether and melted away,
Laden in the barren sea,
Just as the shine started to disappear,
Came a chilling reminder,
Of what heroes are made in battle,
The ones who gave their darling today.
