The day was Feb 14th,
as I stayed up the previous night,
Planning the perfect evening,
Making sure everything was right,
Went to work all day,
Came home early to plan ahead,
Got the flowers from a local store,
Knowing her favorite color was red,
Called my friends and asked him for help,
he willing lend a helping hand,
kept the ice cream nice and cold,
made sure nothing was left on a roll
I shaved my goatee just the right length,
and spiked my head to her taste,
As I sprayed on her favorite cologne,
Checked my watch, to make sure I wasn't late,
then the time was eight,
as I picked her up at the same ol place,
she looked like a million stars,
seeing her smile, flushed my face,
we arrived at the park on the right time,
went up to the pick out the spot,
told her to stay in the car for some time,
spread the rose petals that I had bought,
took me a while to light the candles,
then came the ice cream frozen in ice,
gave her a call to come out of the car,
she joined me under the moon light,
what seemed minutes were hours indeed,
she sang me a love song under the light,
we kissed and kissed on this romantic night,
the night was spent holding each other tight.
