God gave me a little joy,
A little hope,

Gave rebirth to joy, to laughter, and to trust,

Just saying Hi to you makes my whole day better,

No matter how cruel the world has been, you showed me the way to forgiveness,
I had put up barriers so I could not be crushed again,
But the thought of you melted them,
You gave me the sense of protection,
