I still remember the 1st time that I ever saw you,
My very 1st thoughts of you...
Damn, who is that?
I got to get with that.
Was it a coincidence that you took that seat right next to me?
Or was it that 4-letter-word -- F-A-T-E?
Could You Be the blueprint that my Father designed for me?

You know, I thought about you on my wedding day -- and my daughter's birth,
But, then again, I've thought about you every day that I've been on this Earth.
Could You Be everything I need and more?
Could I love you any more?
I ask myself time after time,
No, I love you way too much to ask you Could You Be mine.
But, Could You Be? No--no...let's not cross that line,
But, damn...those hips, those lips, those eyes...and super-fine.
I mean, the only friend I have like you is you,
You've been my shoulder for over 15 years -- you know that's the truth.
But, Could You Be much more?
I guess we'll never know what God has in store.
Wait a minute...I can't do this,
I can't lose my best friend behind this.
