Parable
My dog and me
Sometimes we just sit and be
We share the silence, me and he
Oft he'll sit and and just stair at me
I think into my soul he must see
He sees just as I am
If I'm a jerk he doesn't give a damn
In his eyes I see the Love of God
For this poor lowly earthbound clod
And even in depression's fog
I thank you God for my dog!
