The Mood Was Sweet

The look -- was captivating
when I felt it was time
to spring this surprise
After encountering -- a sensational evening
as we occupied -- each others space
we both knew it was bound to happen
When I reached for the glass -- as our skin touched
An ocean wave of emotions flooded the room
as I poured a line of chocolate
an placed a cherry at the pinnacle point
She said -- how can you expect me to do this
and still remain sexy
Even as she spoke the principles of
love & desire appears to have cast their own vote
While drawing her closer to deciding
So I made the decision and -- grabbed her spoon
and said -- I'm having desert
You can have an apple -- from the fruit bowl
