Fly Away
And time stood still
As I dozed hearing
The faint ring of the phone
Finally realizing
My position as a Butterfly
Was to fly free
Not be posted to a slab
In a box through the mail
If I was to have no regret
I must spread my wings
Catch a breeze and sail
In a cool temperature only
As it would be hazardous
Otherwise I deem
I could perish in a cloud of steam
Only in a cool whisper
Would I ever know
The sweet scent of freedom
I will never succumb
To the forceful grounding tool
The cheating of too many souls
Their right of rebound
Message to be found
Never, never make a sound
Too close to the ground
There are those who would pin your wings
Fly away as quick as you might
Always out of sight
As your heart soars and sings
